uniCenta - Special Projects

Our Special Projects area is to highlight our work with trusted partners to show-case leading-edge, innovative and feature-rich applications/solutions for the Hospitality, Leisure and Retail sectors which doesn't cost an arm nor a leg.

Either based on free open source software such as our own uniCenta oPOS or low-cost commercially available product, each solution here has either been created from scratch, integrated with or extended an existing product.
We've put in a lot of hours to evaluate, find out if they do what they say and prove they are a viable solution.  And we are happy to share these with you.
Only those that actually work and cut-the-mustard are shown here... and we'll keep adding more as time goes by.

POS Hardware

We took uniCenta oPOS personalised it and honed it to fit especially for Partner Tech's great, compact All-In-One PT6200 POS terminal.  If you are a POS hardware manufacturer or Re-seller and would like to know more about using uniCenta oPOS to Value-Add to your product send an email and we can have a chat.

Data Analysis & Forecasting

Lokad were the proud winners of the Microsoft 2010 Cloud Awards.  As well as working on Lokad to fit other software applications we decided to pick up on the work that's been done over at Lokad & Openbravo ERP.  We've decided to make this available as an add-on for our uniCenta oPOS.

VoIP PBX

Building on our own installation we're in the process of extending the integration of 3CX and it's Hotel module in two specific areas (a bit secret at the moment but we'll keep you posted) and also experiment hooking it up to mobile phones and other mobile devices like PDA's (again we'll keep you updated as we get going on this).  If you want to keep in the loop go here...

Open source POS for Hospitality, Retail & Leisure

 uniCenta oPOS is available independently of the Partner Tech PT-6200 project and can be downloaded by visiting our dedicated web site at www.unicentaopos.co.uk or visiting Sourceforge.   Again, using Openbravo's open source POS, we've amended it, extended it an localised it for the UK, Europe and the USA (it's really easy to change to other markets) and have eliminated Openbravo's minumum screen size limit of 1024x768 which means it now runs from 800x600 mode without any loss of on-screen controls.  We even have a full version of uniCenta oPOS running on Partner Tech's EM-200 10" screen tablet/pad/slate... you have to see it to believe it! We called it uniCenta oPOS and was released at the beginning of April 2010.

Digital Menu for Hospitality, Retail & Leisure

Otoucho is a Digital Menu, originating from The Netherlands, and is aimed squarley at the mobile Self-Ordering market.  As the 2010 Dutch Business Award winner for its innovation it lends itself perfectly for use on Partner Tech's EM-200.
