Backbone provided Server & Desktop hardware, software and implementation services for the Servers, Desktops & Printers for Yotel Head Office and Gatwick.  They supply and maintain the rest of the Yotel IT Infrastructure as part of their IT Outsourcing arm.


 

 

Broadscape's fully integrated white label service presents guests with a Yotel branded login screen where they simply enter their cabin booking reference. This is valid for the duration of the stay. The Sunday Times Travel review of Yotel singles out this approach to Wi-Fi as a definitive differentiator and value provider in comparison with competing airline lounges.

Broadscape's wireless solution also provides a secure network for the mobile PDAs used by Yotel's cabin crew.


 

Call Systems task was to supply their Paging solution but with an added "twist".

What many may think of a legacy technology is not so; Call Systems pagers have been turned into an invaluable, streamlined and automated one-way messaging tool for Yotel cabin crew.

 

Probooker is integrated with Call Systems Genesis application to automatically send a paging message to Yotel's housekeeping team when a guest's end of stay is reached.

Worksunit also integrated Genesis, within their CheckIn kiosk application, to route guests "Calls for Assistance", if experiencing any difficulty at CheckIn time.


 

 

 

Yotel's brief was to make the television the hub of all activity for the guest.


Using ETV’s integrated and interactive media system - "ETVi" - Yotel now has the most cutting-edge system available; allowing guests to watch a myriad of digital TV channels, on-demand movies, access their email and surf the internet, while listening to their favourite music albums or radio channels from around the world.

Digital media, including Digital TV, Digital Radio channels and Digital Video on Demand (VOD) programming is also supplied by ETV. VOD programming from all of the major Hollywood studios worldwide is aggregated & distributed by ETV to provide Yotel guests with great quality and choice 24-7, 365 days per annum."

Showcasing ETVi’s unique food and beverage ordering system, ETV worked in close collaboration with
iControl and DoITOnline to enable Yotel to sell meals and refreshments to their guests straight from the TV in their cabin. Guests can also choose from a range of Yotel products and merchandise.


 


Dicoll designed and manufactured an innovative, robust and elegant wall mounted kiosk solution for Yotel's automated CheckIn.  Connected to Yotels' central server it also handles on-the-spot bookings and is fully integrated with the real-time availability, Probooker PMS and Kaba's guest card services.

 

Dicoll's extensive experience in building bespoke kiosks solutions also provided, importantly for Yotel, a practical operational factor; ease & speed of maintenance when staff need to restock guest cards and slip printer paper.


 

 

DoITonline’s Probooker PMS system enabled Yotel to achieve their unique, radical and non-industry standard  reservation and booking requirement.  Something no other PMS system could.

 

Probooker is at the core of the integration services and, collectively, the IT Team achieved seamless connectivity for Yotel's IP-TV, ePOS, Telephony, Paging, guest Access Control, website booking engine, SMS,  and automated CheckIn/CheckOut systems.

It also provides Yotel with a comprehensive suite of BackOffice functions including; reporting, guest marketing and accounting.


 

 

Yotel has installed the latest VoIP telephony, for both operations and guests, in their first opening at London Gatwick Airport.  Initially VoIP was installed and trialled at Yotel's Head Office in Summer 2006.
VoIP allows all Yotels, HO, and any member of staff to make calls between each other, wherever they may be in the world, at no cost.
The future will see VoIP services extended for both Yotel operations and guests.
 
Hotel Telecoms also provides the integrated Availability & Booking Confirmation SMS services used by Yotel. 
 
 

 
iControl's new multi-branch Enterprise grade ePOS handles all the F & B requirements for Yotel.
 
Yotel still has a traditional ePOS unit, at "The Galley" (Yotel speak for Reception), but iControl is especially used for its integration with ETV's IP television.  Seamlessly integrated, guests are able to interactively order food, drink, and any other products Yotel choose to retail, directly from their TV, in the comfort of their own cabin. Incorporating Deliver-Now/Deliver-Later scheduling; a guest can easily decide when they want to receive their order.  
 
We believe this to be an industry first!

 
 
Kaba worked closely with us to deliver a totally integrated guest Access Control solution.
Combining their world-class lock and guest card technology we achieved a completely automated check-in to check-out process for Yotel.
This, along with Secure premise Access Control, meets the requirements of  BAA for Yotel's land-side position within Gatwick Airport.  

 
Worksunit designed, developed and host Yotel's integrated web site which supports their world-class, secure, real-time availability On-line Booking engine.

In the coming months Yotel's booking site will be extended to allow customers to administer their own bookings directly.  

 

Worksunit also developed the unique CheckIn (it allows on-the-spot bookings too) kiosk application specifically for Yotel. Simple and intuitive to use it completely automates the check-in process; handling Credit Card payment; Issuing a guest's CheckIn slip; and producing their access card.
