I understand uniCenta oPOS is multi-lingual

How does it decide which language to use for the user interface?
By default uniCenta oPOS uses the language installed by the Operating System.  However, language can be set in the uniCenta oPOS Configuration Panel independently so you could choose to run uniCenta oPOS in another language (where translation packs are available) say, for example, on a machine with Microsoft Windows English version installed.  You can also change Numeric values, Currencies and Date formats some other properties to suit.

Can I change how my Receipts look and what goes on them?

Certainly.  uniCenta oPOS receipts are fully configurable and use templates.  Receipt style and content can be changed using the Resources Panel and you can position text where you want and even include your own logo.

Can I manage the taxes depending on the customer?

Yes. There are three important concepts for taxes in uniCenta oPOS: Tax Categories, Taxes and Tax Customer categories.

A Tax Category groups similar taxes.  A tax must belong to a Tax Category and, optionally, may belong to a Tax Customer Category.  When creating a product, a suitable Tax Category for that product should be defined.  When editing a receipt, products added to the receipt will have specific taxes associated.  This allows different products to have different taxes.
